In the meantime, here&#8217;s the one thing today that&#8217;s managed to bring much of a smile to my face, a mash-up of classic <i>Star Trek<\/i> footage with Jefferson Airplane&#8217;s &#8220;White Rabbit&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"425\" height=\"350\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"wmode\" value=\"transparent\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/gUA35XQxxw8\" \/><embed width=\"425\" height=\"350\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/gUA35XQxxw8\" wmode=\"transparent\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>If nothing else, this reminded me of how much more expressive acting styles were in the &#8217;60s compared to now, how creative and striking the camera work and lighting was on the original <i>Trek<\/i>, and, most of all, how much drinking and drug usage there was on the old show.
