  1. 28 Weeks Later
    \nSequel to a movie I missed (28 Days Later<\/i>), so I’ll pass…<\/p>\n
  2. Alien vs. Predator AVP2<\/b>
    \nNot a big fan of the original AVP, but The Girlfriend liked it, so I’ll probably see this one with her.<\/p>\n
  3. Arthur and the Invisibles
    \nUm, no.<\/p>\n
  4. Fanboys<\/i>
    \n    Sounds<\/a> like a nice indie flick in the same vein as the delightful (and very in-jokey) Free Enterprise<\/i><\/a> from a few years ago.<\/p>\n
  5. Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer<\/b>
    \nI actually enjoyed the first one, dumb though it may have been, and I want to see how the FX guys realize The Surfer. Not to mention     Galactus<\/a> (assuming, of course, that the filmmakers haven’t messed with the Surfer’s comic-book origins too much)…<\/p>\n
  6. Ghost Rider<\/b>
    \nThe visuals of the Ghost Rider<\/i> comics made a big impression on me when I was a kid — although I can’t remember any of the stories, to be honest — and the     trailer<\/a> looks awesome…<\/p>\n
  7. Halloween
    \nA Rob Zombie-directed remake of what I consider to be one of the best horror films ever? No…<\/p>\n
  8. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix<\/i>
    \nStill haven’t seen the last one, so obviously not a big priority for me. DVD.<\/p>\n
  9. His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass
    \nI know nothing about this one except that it stars the new Mr. Bond. I’ll reserve judgment til I see a trailer.<\/p>\n
  10. I Am Legend<\/i>
    \nAnother film version of Richard Matheson’s venerable novel, the third, I believe. I dunno… after you’ve seen     Charlton Heston fighting afro’d vampire-zombie things<\/a>, what can Will Smith possibly offer?<\/p>\n
  11. Meet the Robinsons
    \nAnother damn CG-animated kiddie-flick. No.<\/p>\n
  12. Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End<\/b>
    \nHave to see how Cap’n Jack gets out of his cliffhanger, right?<\/p>\n
  13. Resident Evil 3: Extinction
    \nArg.<\/p>\n
  14. Shrek the Third
    \nAs     Willow<\/a> used to say, “Bored now.”<\/p>\n
  15. Spider-Man 3<\/b>
    \nI have concerns that this one may suffer from the “too-many-supervillains-in-one-movie” syndrome that sank the pre-Christian Bale Batman films, but I loved the first two…<\/p>\n
  16. Stardust<\/i>
    \nI know little about this one, except that it was written by     Neil Gaiman<\/a>. That warrants a look.<\/p>\n
  17. Sunshine
    \nI couldn’t find anything at all about this one. Reserving judgment.<\/p>\n
  18. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles<\/b>
    \nI’ve got a major soft spot for the 1990     TMNT flick<\/a>, but this one (which is all CGI instead of live-action with stunt men in turtle suits) looks like the original Eastman and Laird comic<\/a> book, so my curiosity is aroused…<\/p>\n
  19. The Astronaut Farmer<\/i>
    \nDVD rental, based solely on the presence of the fascinating Billy Bob Thornton.<\/p>\n
  20. The Dark Is Rising
    \nCouldn’t find much info — no comment yet.<\/p>\n
  21. The Invasion
    \nGood lord… another version of Invasion of the Body Snatchers<\/i>? Unless I see something very<\/i> enticing in the trailer, I’ll pass.<\/p>\n
  22. The Martian Child<\/i>
    \nInteresting, a film adaptation of a David Gerrold novel. I’ve liked a number of Gerrold’s books, and the movie has John and<\/i> Joan Cusack… worth a look.<\/p>\n
  23. The Mist<\/i>
    \nLove Stephen King, love the original story on which the film is based, but King-derived movies have a pretty spotty history. Video.<\/p>\n
  24. Transformers
    \nYeah, it’s cool that the film has the same     voice artist<\/a> playing Optimus Prime who did it on the old cartoon series, but the movie is directed by Michael Bay<\/a>. Do the math…<\/p>\n
  25. Underdog
    \nUm, yeah, because     those<\/a> other<\/a> movies<\/a> based on bits from the old Rocky and Bullwinkle<\/i> show have been so good…\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
