The Tower Theatre, Salt Lake’s local art cinema and the closest thing to a revival house we have in these parts, has just released the schedule for this year’s “Summer of 35mm,” its annual program of cult favorites and Hollywood classics, and it’s a hell of a line-up this year:<\/p>\n

I’ve seen all of this year’s selections before, but there are only a couple of these I wouldn’t want to see again (Clue<\/i>, which I didn’t care much for, and The Royal Tenenbaums<\/em> — I just don’t get Wes Anderson’s precious little yuppy autobiographies), and there are several here I’ve never before seen on the big screen, notably Chinatown<\/em>. The new releases this summer may not be doing much for me, but that doesn’t mean I won’t be spending plenty of time at the movies… I hope!<\/p>\n
