Today is Bill&#8217;s day, with Leonard catching up to him this Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Hard to imagine my boyhood heroes becoming genuinely <i>old<\/i>, especially Shatner, who, despite his generally goofy latter-day persona, remains almost shockingly vital. In other words, he really doesn&#8217;t seem like an 80-year-old. (By contrast, Nimoy appeared rather frail in the <i>Star Trek<\/i>  reboot movie a couple years ago, but perhaps he was just going through a rough patch while they were filming that.) Harder still to contemplate: if these guys are getting old, what does that say about <i>me<\/i>?
