Album: Wings of Freedom Tour 2003 Towards the end of summer 2003, a pair of World War II bomber planes -- a B-24 Liberator and a B-17 Flying Fortress -- made a weekend stop in Heber City, Utah on their cross-country "Wings of Freedom" tour. Album: Allied Victory Tour 2005 Over Father's Day weekend 2005, a B-17 owned by the Experimental Aircraft Association stopped in Ogden, Utah, during its "Allied Victory" tour. Anne and I went to check it out, along with her parents, Larry and Katharine. The occasion was especially moving for Larry, whose father built planes just like this one for Boeing during the war...
