Old-Timey Yub-Nub

Just when I think I've seen every Star Wars-inspired bit of lunacy there is out there in the vast, vast Internet, I run across a barbershop quartet singing the Ewok celebration song from Return of the Jedi...

That was flippin'awesome. Maybe because I had never seen the actual translation from Ewokese.

Funny thing is I have now exposed my two kids to the original Star Wars canon this week. We just finished ROTJ tonight... very good timing :)

Ex-cellent, my young apprentice, ex-cellent. So how did your chilluns take to the Holy Trilogy?

This is really funny! The guys aren't half bad . . . which means they're not half good either. But it does kind of make you feel good. I admit to having played it half a dozen times in the past few days.

Some musicologist somewhere has to do a dissertation on the connection between the barbershop quarter and early modern madrigals.

Well, I'm certainly not up to the task. I'm not even entirely certain of what a "madrigal" is... which will no doubt disappoint The Girlfriend terribly, as I believe she was in our high school madrigal group.
